Traffic Advisory - Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2022

Please note that Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2022 will be taking place on 3 & 4 December 2022, Sat & Sun from 6.30am starting at Pit Building.

The following roads in our vicinity will be affected during the course of the event.

Runners will be passing by Rhu Cross hence delay may be expected. Please note that APOs, outrider and marshals will be deployed to facilitate the traffic at the area.

Visitors heading to the city area from Marina Bay Golf Course should avoid the KPE (towards City) à Nicoll Highway exit à Stadium Drive during affected timings. Those heading to Marina Bay Golf Course may take the Mountbatten à Stadium Crescent à Tanjong Rhu Route.

Additionally, visitors coming via ECP from Changi will have to make a u-turn at Sheares Ave, back to ECP and exit at Fort Road (14A).

Alternatively, they are advised to use PIE à exit Paya Lebar (Exit 11) and turn in from Tanjong Rhu Road.

All visitors travelling to and from Marina Bay Golf Course are advised to plan ahead in view of the run event and road closures.

 

Chinese New Year Operating Hours

Marina Bay Golf Course will be closed on the eve and first day of Chinese New Year (21 and 22 January) and reopen on the second day of the festive period (23 January).

We will remain open throughout the Chinese New Year week. The next maintenance closure will fall on the following Monday (30 January).

GST Rate Change (w.e.f. Jan 2023)

Please be informed that the Goods & Services Tax (GST) will increase from 7% to 8% from 1 January 2023 onwards.

The GST rate at 8% will be imposed on payments and transactions made on or after 1 January 2023. 

Please see the common scenarios below pertaining to the GST rate:

Scenario 1

Golfer makes payment online on 26 December 2022 for a tee time on 31 December 2022. GST is charged at 7%. 

Scenario 2

Golfer makes payment online on 26 December 2022 for a tee time on 1 January 2023. GST is charged at 7%.  

Scenario 3

Golfer makes payment online on 1 January 2023 for a tee time on 15 January 2023. GST is charged at 8%. 

 Scenario 4

Golfer changes date of play from 31 December 2022 to 7 January 2023. The amount payable on / after 1 January 2023 will be the difference of the full payment with the advance booking fee subject to 8% GST and the initial payment received.

Scenario 5

Golfer changes player for a game on 5 January 2023 (for booking and payment made before 1 January 2023). If the change requires a top-up, the amount payable on 5 January 2023 will be the difference of the full payment based on the new player category subject to 8% GST and the initial payment received.

Scenario 6

Golfer redeems raincheck issued before 1 January 2023 on / after 1 January 2023. The difference between the golf charge based on GST of 8% and the original value of raincheck will be payable.

Traffic Advisory - Great Eastern Women's Run 2022

Please note that Great Eastern Women’s Run 2022 will be taking place on 20 November 2022, Sunday from 5.15am to 10.30am from Singapore Sports Hub.

The following roads in our vicinity will be affected on 20 November between 1am to 10.30am.

  • Nicoll Highway (towards City)
  • Republic Avenue
  • Crawford Street
  • Republic Boulevard 
  • Stadium Drive (between Roundabout 1 & 2)
  • Stadium Drive (between Roundabout 2 & Carpark Entrance C)

Visitors heading to the city area from Marina Bay Golf Course should avoid the KPE (towards City) à Nicoll Highway exit à Stadium Drive during affected timings.

If taking the Nicoll Highway exit, they can take an alternative route during affected timings (eg. exit Nicoll Highway and go via Sports Hubs underground Carpark C and exit via Kallang Wave Mall).

All visitors travelling to and from Marina Bay Golf Course are advised to plan ahead in view of the run event and road closures.

Traffic Advisory - UOB Global Heartbeat Run/Walk 2022

Please note that the UOB Global Heartbeat Run/Walk 2022 will be taking place on 16 October (Sun), 6.30am to 11am at Singapore Sports Hub.

The following roads in our vicinity will be affected on 16 October between 5.30am to 9am:

  • Stadium Crescent (Left Lane Only)
  • Stadium Way (Left Lane Only)

In view of the above, all visitors travelling to Marina Bay Golf Course during the affected timings are advised to come earlier.

Change of Timesheet on Selected Wednesdays

Please note that there will be no evening and night golf on selected Wednesdays.

The timesheet of the affected dates will follow weekend/ Public Holiday timesheet.

The last 18-hole game will be at 3.00pm and 9-hole game at 5.00pm on the above-mentioned dates.

Putting Course & Practice Green Registration

Guests who wish to make use of the putting course and practice greens are required to furnish their full name (as per NRIC/passport) for registration and produce identification card/passport for verification.

Please note that MBGC has the discretion and right to accept or reject any registration if any player is unable to furnish or provide the aforesaid information during registration.

Coring of Greens and General Maintenance

^Other golf facilities refer to putting course and practice greens.

The golf course and other golf facilities will reopen on 28 October. Though some areas on the course may be sandy for a few weeks after the maintenance, we will ensure that the areas are playable as far as possible.

Please note that most tenants, including F&B outlets, will be closed from 25 to 27 October. Please find tenant operating hours below:

Further Relaxation of SMM

With the Covid-19 situation stabilising, the Government has announced a further relaxation of SMM measures.

With effect from 29 Aug, mask-wearing is no longer required indoors. However, patrons are still encouraged to mask up in crowded indoor settings to minimise the risk of transmission.

Cleaning and disinfection of premises will still be carried out and sanitisers are provided at high contact areas. We thank you for being socially responsible and for helping to keep our community safe.
